Ro! Chairwoman of The HBCU Sports Summit a division of The Ro Ro Group, has over 30+ years of sports marketing experience.
Ro! brings experience in entertainment and brand marketing arena, renowned for her innovative work in music, film, real estate, motivational well-being, and brand marketing. As the first African American spokesmodel for Jergens Lotion, she led a successful three-year national campaign that tripled sales and launched new product lines.
Ro! has collaborated with numerous corporate partners, celebrities and athletes on product placements and production deals, including Tesla, Samsung, CES, Uncle Nearest, BMI, Sony Pictures, Billboard Music Awards, SAG Awards, Golden Globes, Oscars, Netflix, Amazon, Chanel, Coca Cola, Fox Television, Paramount Studios, Warner Bros., and much more.
Currently, Ro! manages several active projects along with her own brands: The Ro Ro Group (a brand marketing company), Ro Ro Fan (a fan experience with her celebrity friends), Ro Ro Records & Entertainment Inc. (a publishing and record label), and The Ro! Project (a give-back program). Her mission is to help others build their dreams by fostering entrepreneurial ventures for both men and women.
As a minority woman, Ro! has mastered her industries through discipline, hard work, and moral leadership. Despite her success, she remains approachable and dedicated to inspiring people nationwide to achieve their dreams.
Ro! emphasizes the importance of planning, hard work, dedication, and continuous learning. She has collaborated with motivational speakers, athletes, celebrities, and entrepreneurs, making a global impact by creating opportunities for others. Terrence is a distinguished U.S. Air Force veteran, member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc., and co-founder of The Ro Ro Group. With over thirty years of experience, he has managed and launched several start-up companies. He has collaborated on projects with notable organizations such as the Billboard Music Awards, Coca Cola, Samsung Electronics, AWS, and Tesla.
In 2002, Terrence and Ro! teamed up to create The Ro Ro Group, a marketing company specializing in brand marketing, public relations, professional staffing, internet, and sports marketing. Terrence also serves as an agent advisor to several professional athletes and celebrities.
In 2023, he co-founded the HBCU Sports Summit with Ro! Rochester, aiming to guide students towards higher education.

Shemar Bridges Bridges grew up in Jacksonville, Fl. and attended Potter's House Christian Academy. Bridges began his college football career at Tusculum. He redshirted his true freshman season and transferred to Fort Valley State after his redshirt freshman year. Bridges was named second team All-Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference as a redshirt sophomore after finishing the season with 51 receptions for 765 yards and four touchdowns. Bridges signed with the Baltimore Ravens as an undrafted free agent on May 7, 2022. Shemar Bridges is currently an American professional football wide receiver for the Hamilton Tiger-Cats of the Canadian Football League (CFL). He is the Ambassador for the HBCU Sports Summit Football Program, sharing his knowledge and love for the game. Teaching the student athletes how to use your talents and skills on the field.

Marc Ross is an analyst on NFL Network appearing on various programs such as NFL Total Access and NFL Now. Before joining the NFL Network as an analyst, Marc Ross worked for a year as a consultant for NFL Football Operations, and prior to that, Marc spent 11 years with the New York Giants, winning two Super Bowls in his time with the organization. Marc spent five seasons as the Vice President of Player Evaluation and six seasons as the Director of College Scouting. Starting his career as a public relations intern at training camp for the Giants in 1995, Marc then went on to work for the Philadelphia Eagles from 1996-2000 working in personnel and then becoming the Eagles' eastern regional scout. At the age of 27, Marc became the NFL's youngest college scouting director, and he spent seven years there with the Eagles before moving to the Buffalo Bills in the spring of 2004 to be a national college scout. Along with the title of youngest college scouting director, Marc was named All-Ivy League Wide Receiver in 1993 and 1994 at Princeton. He holds five school records as a receiver and punt returner including most returns in a season and most yards in a game. Additionally, in 2019 Marc was named to the Princeton All Time Team of the Ivy League Era. While at Princeton Marc earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in sociology and a master's degree in sport management from the University of Massachusetts in 1997.

Anthony Poindexter Jr., known as AJ (Ro!'s nephew), is a dedicated film graduate at Penn State University with a profound passion for visual storytelling. Over the past four years, AJ has developed extensive expertise in videography, cinematography, and video editing. His professional journey includes notable roles as a cinematographer and editor for esteemed events and organizations such as the NCAA Women’s Final Four, Penn State Athletics, Fox Sports, NBC Sports, Elite 11 QB Competition, AU Pro Sports, and various campus organizations at Penn State, USC and MEAC Sports Basketball Tournament. AJ is known for his unwavering work ethic and enthusiasm for his craft, demonstrating a commitment that shines through in every project he undertakes. His skills make him a valuable asset to any creative endeavor. AJ currently works with the Houston Texans in their video & communications department.

The California Student Aid Commission (CSAC), represented by Komal Singh, Mina Tran, and Krishnee Shankar, is proud to partner with the HBCU Sports Summit to expand educational access and financial opportunity for California students. Through the AB-1400 Cal-HBCU Transfer Grant Program and a variety of state financial aid resources, CSAC continues to empower students to pursue higher education—whether at Historically Black Colleges and Universities or within California’s own college and university system. Together, this partnership bridges pathways, provides funding, and ensures that every student has the support to achieve their academic and career goals.

The California Community Colleges (CCC), represented by Briana Levi and Arynn Auzout, proudly partner with the HBCU Sports Summit to create stronger educational bridges for California students. Together, they are advancing pathways that connect community college students to Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) through transfer opportunities, scholarship access, and mentorship. This collaboration reinforces a shared mission of equity, access, and representation—empowering students to explore new possibilities, celebrate culture, and pursue excellence in higher education and beyond.

Martha Sylla Underwood is a highly accomplished software technology industry veteran who has built a storied career spanning from IBM in Florida to Silicon Valley, and now Birmingham, Alabama. With a background in developing enterprise solutions for insurance carriers, creating early versions of healthcare patient portals, and positioning startups for acquisition through her expertise in business modeling and product optimization, Martha is a true innovator in the industry. Today, she serves as the Founder and CEO of Prismm, a company dedicated to revolutionizing the wealth transfer process at the end of life through technology
